Hey everyone...
We had our appt. with our oncologist today and the news wasn't great. The pathology of the tumor warrants that I go through chemo. Because the lymph nodes had been clear and the tumor had clear margins we were hoping chemo wouldn't be needed. God apparently had different plans for us. We are a little overwhelmed at the whole prospect but we know God was in control and this didn't surprise Him at all. We are scheduled to start Sept. 1st. Dr. Zu let us wait until then so I can be "normal" when Mikayla starts kindergarten on Aug. 30th.
Please pray for us as we deal with all the emotion of the unknown, the possible side effects and apprehension of the kids worlds being in upheaval. My mom will be with us as much as we need, which has been and will continue to be a blessing.
We know this is the right decision. Dr. Zu called the cancer I have "deceptively aggressive," meaning the bad stuff was hiding in the noninvasive part of the tumor. Just as much as we have viewed this as an opportunity in the past, we want to continue to do so. Please pray we don't get discouraged and that God will continue to use us.
Thanks each of you for being there for us... we love you all...
resting in God, Linnea (and Tim too!!)
