Hi everyone...
Hope you all are doing well and staying dry, depending on where you live!! I wanted to let know how we were doing and how my treadmill test went. The treadmill test was yesterday (Wed.) and went fine. My cardiologist said that my echocardiogram looked good and said that I did fine on the treadmill too, (although I felt completely out of shape!!). He recommended me for another heart scan, the same kind I had to start all these heart questions but with a different doctor. That is scheduled for Monday. The next week I will go back to my cardiologist and he will go over all of the tests and let me know what he thinks. We'll see what happens. The good thing is that we're not anxious about it at all, we just want to get on with life, whatever the outcome. (My heart can't be in too bad of shape. Tim and I took Mikayla to Disneyland last week and I felt fine! We had a great time!!)
I was reading my Bible this week and came across these verses that I wanted to share with you because they truly express how I feel. They are from the Message translation.
"We don't want you in the dark, friends, about how hard it was when all this came down on us. It was so bad we didn't think we were going to make it. We felt like we'd been sent to death row, that it was all over for us. As it turned out, it was the best thing that could have happened. Instead of trusting in our own strength or wits to get out of it, we were forced to trust God totally--not a bad idea since he's the God who raises the dead! And he did it, rescued us from certain doom. And he'll do it again, rescuing us as many times as we need rescuing. You and your prayers are part of the rescue operation--I don't want you in the dark about that either. I can see your faces even now, lifted in praise for God's deliverance of us, a rescue in which your prayers played such a crucial part."
I wish I could sit down with all of you and tell you in person what you've meant to our family. Maybe over time I'll get to everyone!! Love to you all!!
I pray each of you has a blessed Easter and that God touches you in a special way this weekend.
resting in God's grace, Linnea (and Tim too)
